Purr Year’s Eve 2025 – ein beruhigendes Sound Bath für Hunde & Katzen

Hey Cat & Dog Lovers, unser Purr Year’s Eve Sound Bath geht in die dritte Runde! Zusammen mit STRAYZ haben wir auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein Silvester Sound Bath kreiert, das eure Vierbeiner bei wildem Geböller beruhigen soll. Genau genommen sind es zwei Sound Baths und ihr könnt einfach individuell schauen, welches für euch besser funktioniert.

Genau wie in den letzten beiden Jahren gilt auch 2025: Am besten baut ihr eurer Katze oder eurem Hund einen Safe Space als Rückzugsort. Haltet die Vorhänge immer geschlossen, damit die Lichtreize draußen bleiben, stellt eine USB-Box in die Nähe der Höhle und spielt das Sound Bath auf “Repeat all” in Dauerschleife ab. Seid achtsam mit der Lautstärke. Tiere hören mehr als Menschen.

Mit den folgenden beiden Teaser Videos könnt ihr testen, wie eure Fellnasen darauf reagieren. Hier einmal die grundsätzlich empfohlene Version. Ein gleichmäßiges, monotones Klangfeld ohne Anschläge oder Impulse. Diese Version ist besonders geeignet für geräuschempfindliche Katzen und Hunde:

Es gibt aber auch Tiere, die entspannter auf wiederkehrende Impulse reagieren als auf vollständige Monotonie. In dem Fall ist diese Version die geeignete. Ein ruhiges Klangfeld mit sehr langsamen, tiefen rhythmischen Impulsen in Form einer tibetischen Klangschale:

Falls ihr kein YouTube Premium habt, öffnet das Sound Bath am besten im Brave Browser oder mit einem Ad Blocker eurer Wahl, damit euch keine Werbeblöcke reingrätschen. Es könnte sich aber auch lohnen, den kostenlosen YouTube Premium Monat freizuschalten, das Sound Bath runterzuladen und im Flugmodus laufen zu lassen.

Und so funktioniert’s: Ihr spendet einen Betrag eurer Wahl an Kimolos Cats und wir schicken euch den YouTube Link zum 60-minütigen Sound Bath. Simple as that. Das Sound Bath ist bewusst “langweilig” und monoton gehalten, weil es beruhigen soll.

In diesem Jahr gehen alle Purr Year’s Eve Spenden an eine Frau hier auf der Insel, die alles gibt für die Streuner. Sie ist sehr alleine mit ihrem Aktivismus. Das wollen wir ändern. Wir sind uns sicher, dass wir viel bewegen können, wenn wir die Kräfte bündeln. Deshalb haben wir Kimolos Cats ins Leben gerufen und bereiten uns aktuell schon auf die kommende Tourismus Season vor. Hey Cat & Dog Lovers, our Purr Year’s Eve Sound Bath is back for the third year in a row! Together with STRAYZ, we’ve once again created a New Year’s Eve Sound Bath designed to help calm your cats and dogs during intense fireworks.

Just like in the past two years, the same applies in 2025: Create a safe space for your cat or dog where they can retreat. Keep curtains closed to reduce light stimulation, place a small speaker near their hideout, and play the Sound Bath on “repeat all” in a continuous loop. Please be mindful of the volume. Animals hear much more than humans.

You can test how your furry friends react to the following two teaser videos. Here is the generally recommended version. A steady, continuous sound field without distinct impulses or strikes. This version is especially suitable for sound-sensitive cats and dogs: 

However, some animals respond more calmly to recurring impulses than to complete monotony. In this case, this version may be more suitable. It features a calm soundscape with very slow, deep strokes of a Tibetan singing bowl.

If you don’t have YouTube Premium, we recommend opening the video in the Brave browser or using an ad blocker of your choice, so ads don’t interrupt playback. You might also consider activating the free YouTube Premium trial, downloading the Sound Bath, and playing it in flight mode.

How it works: You donate an amount of your choice to Kimolos Cats, and we’ll send you the YouTube link to the 60-minute Sound Bath. Simple as that. The Sound Bath is intentionally “boring” and monotonous, because that’s what helps calm animals.

This year, all Purr Year’s Eve donations go to a woman here on the island who gives everything for stray cats. She feeds them, medicates them and stays with them when no one else does. She is very alone in her activism. We want to change that. We’re convinced that real change becomes possible when efforts are combined.
