It is fair to say we live in digitally overwhelming times. No wonder content about nervous system regulation is booming. This is why we are starting the SACRED SILENCE SERIES today.

In the mental noise of modern life, stillness is a forgotten revolution.

Matthias and I have a running gag, a quote from our sound healing training: “Silence is deadly.” Of course, it wasn’t meant literally. But following this statement, we learned to curate soundscapes so people wouldn’t come into contact with too much silence and lose it.

How much silence can we actually endure?

Looking back at all the years and Sound Baths we have played since then, this has often been the biggest challenge. How much silence can this group, this person or this couple handle in the here and now?

Sound healing works so well because the soundscape takes our monkey mind by the hand. Whenever it tries to creep in with the latest mindfuck, some unpredictable sound is faster. That is how we trick it. Breathing and pulse begin to settle. We find peace. And we do so much more easily than with silent meditations or guided ones that include pauses.

What Uranus has to do with all of this

Last week, Uranus moved from the earth sign Taurus into the air sign Gemini. Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius. We are dealing with amplified air now, and the pace is noticeably picking up. Uranus stands for breakouts and breakthroughs. For sudden and unpredictable change. And Gemini is all about communication. Almost every astrologer associates this combo with AI. But hardly anyone talks about the fact that our minds have a hard time with this speed. That our mental capacities might not adapt fast enough. That many of us are already pushed to our cognitive limits.

And this is exactly where SACRED SILENCE SERIES comes in. Since Uranus also stands for revolution, I thought I’d simply start one on my YouTube channel. In times where I have to place a “hook” within the first 1.7 seconds, convincing people not to instantly swipe on, this is undoubtedly a daring endeavor.

But I am also writing a blog post right now, fully aware that in 2025, five thousand characters will always lose out to three Instagram tiles. We’ve become too sluggish to read. Meta has taught us that even complex topics and facts can be summed up in fragments across a few slides. Click the link? By then, those 1.7 seconds are long gone, and we’re already watching a mindless video of a stranger eating 20 bananas.

The analytics for my social media content (whether it’s YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or TikToks) show it clearly: the longer the video, the worse the performance.

We are living in a time where even a singing bowl isn’t allowed to fade out in peace anymore.

That is why I want to create a space with SACRED SILENCE SERIES where things are different. A space where we can cautiously feel our way back into stillness. Reconnecting with it, gently.

You can find the first video here:

This is the start of a series that builds upon itself. In this first video, I work with three specific sounds: our large Tibetan singing bowl, the Lilith tuning fork and the Pluto tuning fork. These are deep frequencies designed to make the transition a little easier. Every single sound is allowed to fade out completely. The pauses between them grow longer toward the middle of the Sound Bath and shorten again as we reach the end. It is like a training unit for our monkey mind.

If it gets too intense, it can help to open your eyes and focus on the whitewashed wall, where the shadow of the olive tree moves slightly in the wind.

I am certain that we can learn to endure slowness and silence once more. And I believe this skill is essential for the times we are currently tumbling through. It might make sense to complete this “training unit” regularly. You should be able to “endure” it with ease before moving on to the second video. Because the frequencies will not stay deep throughout the entire series. The first three videos are great for easing into the practice, but the fourth one is already a bit more challenging.

I would like to take this moment to thank the stormy wind, which has relentlessly tested my nervous system over the past few weeks. I never would have thought it possible how much the element of air could push me to my limits.

But it was out of this deep desire for regulation that the SACRED SILENCE SERIES was born.

May this video series reach those who are ready for it and serve as a powerful anchor in these chaotic times. You can explore the full SACRED SILENCE SERIES playlist here.
